1957 marked construction of the first fire station in Blacksburg. Station One, located at 200 Progress Street, was expanded in 1981 and is still in use today. The station is shared between the fire department and rescue squad, with the majority of the building dedicated to the rescue squad. Station One houses six pieces of fire apparatus: Ladder 3, Mini Pumper 4, Engine 7, Engine 8, Brush 12, and an officer response vehicle.

Station Two, located at 2700 Prices Fork Road, was opened Halloween Night, October 31, 1986. It houses administrative offices, the fire museum, and a meeting room. The fire department holds it's monthly business meetings here, and the office of the town's Fire Code Official is here. Station Two houses seven pieces of apparatus: Ladder 2, Light and Air 5, Tanker 6, Engine 9, Engine 10, Brush 11, and an officer response vehicle.

Station Three, located on Airport Road, went under construction in 2008. Once completed, it will house additional administrative offices, firefighter living quarters, classrooms, and additional training facilities. The station adjoins the airport property, and the fire department will have direct airport access via a gate behind the building. Currently there is no ETA for the building to be completed.
